POT NOODLE is a brand of instant noodles in pots, available in a wide range of flavours and varieties. It was launched in 1977 by Golden Wonder and the brand was acquired by Unilever in 1995.
The product is made in the Welsh town of Crumlin in South Wales and the factory typically produces 175 million pots every year. It is estimated that five Pot Noodles are wolfed down every second! Improvements to the range over the last few years have included reduced salt, no artificial colours or preservatives and the inclusion of a vegetarian option. With the rise in popularity of convenience foods and an interest in Asian cuisine came an interest in such instant products as POT NOODLE. The Pot Noodle family continues to grow with the addition of Pot Rice & Pot Pasta.
