Back in 1898, the Walker family started baking shortbread from a village bakery in the Speyside village of Aberlour in Scotland. Nowadays, new generations of the family continue this baking tradition. To this day, you can still find the founder’s personal guarantee on each pack, showing that Walker’s products are made using only the finest ingredients obtainable.
Today, thanks to an increase in demand and modern equipment, Walker’s products can be found all over the world. They are still baked in small batches using the original recipe, ensuring the classic taste that Walker’s are known for.
Walker’s Shortbread is made in a wide variety of shapes using only four simple ingredients: flour, pure creamery butter, sugar, and salt. Apart from the classic shortbread, Walker’s also produces a range of other Scottish delicacies such as oatcakes and a delicious range of biscuits.
