Gozitan produced Ħanini is a range of dairy products, made with 100% pasteurised milk. The offering includes fresh, semi-dry and dry gibniet, irkotta, cooking cream, pekorin hard cheese and a range of light yogurts.
Produced by the Magro Group via its subsidiary Farm Fresh, Ħanini was launched in 2010 with an aim to revive Gozo’s Culinary Heritage whilst being produced in facilities meeting EU food safety standards. The brand was launched with Irkotta – fresh artisan ricotta in plastic tubs and today has been extended to include a variety of milk based products using produce from Cows, Sheep and Goats supplied from Gozitan Herdsmen all operating certified farms. According to the season, the different milks are both used to produce the quality range of products that exist within the Ħanini range today. All the milk used in the production undergoes a gentle and effective pasteurization heat process, that guarantees a safer product without affecting its taste. Designed to appeal to both young and old, the Hanini range offers consumers traditional milk-based food in innovative formats. Ħanini can be found in the chiller section of all leading local supermarkets as well as corner stores.
