The Flora brand has been caring for heart health since 1962. In 2000, the company used its scientific expertise to create Flora ProActiv, a brand with a range of products containing plant sterols, which are clinically proven to lower cholesterol. Flora’s ProActiv range includes spreads (light, buttery and with olive oil), mini health drinks and milk.
The plant sterols found in Flora ProActiv work by reducing the amount of cholesterol absorbed by your gut. This in turn reduces the amount in your bloodstream, resulting in lower levels of LDL (bad) cholesterol. Over 50 clinical studies have proven that plant sterols are clinically proven to lower cholesterol and Flora ProActiv has committed to reduce this by 7 to 10% in just two to three weeks.
