Coccodì began its activity in the poultry sector in the 1960s, thus creating the first egg-laying hen farms and creating the first system for the collection, processing and distribution of fresh eggs , within 24-48 hours of being laid.

At the beginning of the 90s, Coccodì began its transformation process to eliminate intensive battery farming, giving rise to the first production of fresh, non-cage eggs.
Since 1998, no Coccodì farm has included the use of cages and has become the first company in Italy to produce eggs while respecting animal welfare.
